Walking Mobile Safari – location
Our Walking Mobile Safaris are run along the shores of the Mupamadzi River some 60 miles from our base camp at Nkwali in the South Luangwa National Park. Guests first spend two nights at Nkwali Safari Camp, then drive along a bush road through the park for about four hours before reaching the first camp.

The drive is fascinating because the terrain is so different to the areas along the familiar riverbanks. As you push further north from the Luangwa, you pass through an area dense with terminalia trees. The land then becomes more undulating, passing through a fascinating petrified forest.
After four or five nights on the Walking Mobile Safari you drive to Tena Tena Safari Camp for a three-night stay.
